Since 2014, when she was just 28 years old, Sophie Dries has been running her namesake architecture firm. After graduating from a design and architecture school in Finland, Dries exhibited her designs at Musee d’Orsay and has collaborated with multiple luxury interior design firms.
She is innovating the design space with her untethered approach to shapes and materials. Dries mixes contemporary items with old techniques and fuses radical lines with smooth design. Her collection of ceramic and metal vases was a collaboration with ceramicist Thomas Vivant and Parisian metal artist Mickael Moore. Together they created pipe-like sections of metal and ceramic surfaces to create a collection of harmonious pieces that vary in size and color but are alike in that they project a sense of new luxury.
