Identifying a gap in specialized men's swimwear, photographer Adam Brown launched ORLEBAR BROWN in 2007 to fill the void, creating smart, tailored shorts to be worn in and out of water. Based in London, the brand is influenced by “1960s poolside utopia”, and was born out of an observation Brown made while on vacation where he noticed the disparity between sophisticated swim options available to men and women. The shorts are cut based off of the 17-piece pattern trouser typical of men’s suiting, equipped with four-part waistband, zip fly, and a metal side-fastener in lieu of a drawstring, all adorned by scenic tropical prints and fitted to help its wearer navigate the transition from pool to bar in style.
