It all began in 1955 when Isabelle and Hubert d’Ornano happened to cross paths. They both had very distinct personalities and interests: they were accomplished travelers who shared a love for art and a taste for entrepreneurial endeavors.
The meeting between these two visionaries naturally led to an idea, which was unprecedented at the time: the union of nature and science for the benefit of cosmetics, which took shape in 1976 with the launch of the SISLEY brand.
