For this Spring/Summer 2020 Valentino's Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli was inspired by the classic silhouette of a white shirt dress. For this collection we will start mainly seeing white, but that does not mean we are limited to just that; we can also find fun attractive one-shot colors like green, absinthe, peach, and plum to intricate fun jungle prints via the naive vision of 19th-century artist Henri Rousseau. With voluminous couture silhouettes, floppy georgettes, starched bibs, shirt collars, romantic ruffles and billowing sleeves —easy to imagine these worn on beaches or boats on some long Mediterranean summer idyll.
